Frequently asked questions
Is the Grand Bazaar safe?
Yes. It is a covered market with its own security, open Monday to Saturday. Your host walks beside you the whole time, carries nothing of yours and keeps the pace yours. We plan the visit around its opening days (closed on Sundays and religious holidays).
Is there pressure to buy?
No. The atelier visit is about seeing how a fine ring is made and the bazaar visit is about seeing the crafts; whether you buy, and what, is always your decision. Prices are agreed between you and the merchant; we do not set them.
Do you work with trusted merchants?
We introduce you to a short list of merchants we have selected for the quality of their pieces, clear pricing and the way they look after buyers. Their names are not listed here; your host introduces them on the day.
Do you provide hotel pickup?
On request: your host can meet you at your hotel, or a VIP car brings you to the Old City and back, from €23 one way or €45 return, passed on at cost.
Can we see the ring being made?
Yes. At the atelier you see the stages on the bench that day: drawing, casting, setting and polishing. A ring to your own design or an engraving is arranged on request; the atelier confirms the price and the time it needs before any work begins.
What happens after we buy?
Ask for a written receipt for every purchase and send us a copy. If something is not as agreed, message us: we contact the merchant or atelier on your behalf and help resolve it. We do not set prices and cannot refund on a merchant’s behalf.
