Good to know
Do we have to buy anything?
No. Your host shows you around and answers your questions; whether you buy, and what, is always your decision.
Which languages can our host speak?
English as standard. German, French, Spanish, Arabic or Russian on request: tell us when you write and we confirm your host before the visit.
How are the merchants chosen?
We introduce you to a short list of merchants we have selected for the quality of their pieces, clear pricing and the way they look after buyers. Their names are not listed here; your host introduces them on the day.
Will we pay a fair price?
Your host explains what drives the price of a piece and gives you an honest view of an offer. Prices are agreed between you and the merchant; we do not set them, and bargaining is your choice.
What if something goes wrong after we buy?
Ask for a written receipt for every purchase and send us a copy. If something is not as agreed, such as a delivery, a size or a repair, message us: we contact the merchant on your behalf and help resolve the issue. We cannot refund on a merchant’s behalf.
Can a carpet be shipped home?
If the merchant offers shipping, agree the cost, timing and insurance before you pay, and keep the shipping document with your receipt. We keep a copy and help you follow it up.
When is the Grand Bazaar open?
The Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays and on religious holidays, so we plan your visit around its opening days.
Can you pick us up from our hotel?
Yes, on request: your host can meet you at your hotel, or a VIP car brings you to the bazaar and back, from €23 one way.
